Your door code only works during your scheduled drop-off and pick-up windows. Please stick to your times, especially on busy Thursday Playcare days. If you arrive outside your window, you won’t be able to get in and may need to reschedule. Need to change your time? Text Shannon directly.

POLICY CHANGE: READ THIS OR LOSE YOUR RESERVATION It is YOUR responsibility the NIGHT BEFORE departure PRIOR to 8pm to make sure your invoice is paid and you have a door code. We will not do this for you. No door codes will be given on drop-off day. None. For any reason. If your invoice is not paid by 8pm the night before, your reservation automatically cancels and we will not take care of your pets. No exceptions. Don't ask. We don't want to turn anyone away, but too many people have ignored this rule and it's forced our hand. If you don't have payment and a door code by 8pm the night before, you don't have a reservation.(Required)

Gourmet Delights Some dogs lose their appetite when their favorite human is away. We get it. That's where Auntie Shannon's homemade organic treats come in: free-range chicken, grass-fed beef, lamb, wild-caught salmon and cod, plus fresh fruits and veggies. The good stuff. Even hesitant eaters can't resist. Add this option and make sure your dog eats well while you're gone.(Required)

If your dog takes medication, bring whatever you use to give it to them: pill pockets, hot dogs, cheese, etc. We don't supply these. A fridge is available in the drop-off area. If you need to store food, turn on the power strip and make sure the door is fully closed.(Required)

Yes, we know you've boarded here before (and we are glad to see you back!), BUT we need this filled out every time for insurance purposes. List each medication your dog takes: what it's for, the dosage, how many times per day, and how you give it to them (cheese, pill pocket, etc.).(Required)

FOOD: If you take the time to portion meals out for us, we SO VERY MUCH appreciate it! This gives us extra time to love on your buddy. It's also a good idea to send a couple extra days worth of food, just in case there's a delay. We also really appreciate it when you take the time to get Wilcoxson's Ice Cream buckets, available for $1 at Gram's Ice Cream Shop downtown. These aren't regular ice cream containers. They're food-safe, reusable, and hold two gallons, much bigger than what you'll find at the grocery store. They work SO well. Bonus: these buckets also fit a leash, a couple toys, or other small items.(Required)

I HAVE TO WRITE IT DOWN? Yes, it is likely that Auntie Shannon probably remembers exactly how much your dog eats, what bowl they prefer, and that weird thing they do when they're hungry. But her brain isn't an official document, and we need your feeding instructions every single time because it goes on your dog's record. Fill out the details below. Then write a second copy and toss it in with your dog's food at drop-off. Yes, two copies. We know. It's a lot. But it really helps us provide the very best care. Pre-portioning meals into Ziplock bags? You're our favorite. Just label each bag with your dog's name and AM, PM, or whatever. We'll return them for reuse!(Required)

Heavy Food Surcharge: $99 Read this carefully. Auntie Shannon is medically restricted from lifting anything over 10 lbs. That means every container of food you bring must weigh under 10 lbs. No exceptions. Yes: Ice cream buckets, small containers under 10 lbs. No: Big bags of dog food, full gallon buckets, giant plastic storage bins. If you show up with any container over 10 lbs, you will be charged a $99 heavy food fee. And yes, you'll have to pay it before you can pick up your dog. This is why we love the specific Wilcoxon's ice cream buckets. Follow the rule and keep your $99. Ignore it and buy Auntie Shannon something nice (like hernia surgery LOL).(Required)

REFRIGERATION: If your dog's food or medication (including injectables) needs to be refrigerated, you are responsible for putting it in the fridge in the drop-off area yourself. Make sure the fridge is plugged in and the power strip is turned on. Check that the door is fully closed. Use Ziplock bags if you can because space is limited.(Required)

BREAKFAST & MORNING MEDS: Be sure to feed your dog and give any morning medications before drop-off. We don't do breakfast or morning meds on drop-off day.(Required)

FOOD AND WATER DISHES: Insurance requires us to use our own dishes for health and safety reasons. Don't bring bowls. If your dog needs a slow feeder, we have those too.(Required)

CHEW TOYS & TREATS POLICY: To keep your dog safe, do not bring hard plastic chew toys, antlers, rawhide, or real bones. We won't give these to your dog during their stay. Approved: non-rawhide chews (like hard cheese) and Kong toys.(Required)

THIS AFFECTS YOU! Please. Just pay your invoice when you get it. You'll receive a door code via email. It's YOUR job to make sure you have it BEFORE 8pm the night before departure. No code by then? Your reservation cancels. Not a new policy, but we're enforcing it now. Auntie Shannon will no longer respond to panicked texts on departure day. And we will not take your dog. This chaos takes time away from the dogs in our care. PLEASE be proactive and help us with this.(Required)

UNSUPERVISED ACCESS: We allow unsupervised drop-off and pick-up as a courtesy because we trust you. To keep this privilege, follow these rules: Only you or your spouse/partner may enter, and only one person at a time. If your door code is shared with anyone for any reason, your unsupervised access is revoked immediately. When dropping off, place only your dog inside their enclosure. No beds, blankets, toys, or food. Take your dog to potty in the big yard right before drop-off, even if they just went at home. Before you leave, make sure both the inside door and outside gate are securely closed. You're on video surveillance inside and outside the facility.(Required)

CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS: Your confirmation email includes your selected dates and times. If you need to make changes or cancel, do it online. Don't text Shannon. The link to this form is at the top of the page and in your invoice email.(Required)

Nothing Inside the Drop-Off Enclosure: No beds, toys, treats, leashes, or anything else goes inside the drop-off enclosure with your dog. They're only in there briefly before moving to their cottage, and items inside create safety and behavioral issues. We get the instinct to comfort your dog, but after nearly 35 years of doing this, trust us: this rule prevents guarding, anxiety, and unnecessary stress. If you put items inside anyway, there will be a surcharge.(Required)

We are unable to process your reservation at this time as our records show that this dog is not spayed/neutered as required by our insurance. We understand you have boarded this pet in the past, however we can no longer accept pets who are unaltered. If you have had this dog spayed or neutered since it last stayed at our facility, please have your veterinarian send over your surgery receipt to shannonheggem@gmail.com.
